Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

This is where I take my kids, Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee, Taz, Dex & Lucky.

Happy Birthday Sputters!

On December 21, 2001 God blessed the world with a beautiful little girl.  A dog, a pug, she looked black but the fact of the matter is that her daddy was black and her mommy was tan.  She was soon to be know as Sputters.  Sputters because after we brought her home, she would lay in her little box and she would start to whimper and whine, so that we would pick her up and of course we did.  As you would pick her up she made a sputtering sound, kinda like an old car or radiator, or maybe even beat box or rap music, it was so natural and yet so weird.  So one time when I picked her up out of her box she was sputtering and I said to Young, she sputters when you pick her up.  Young said that’s it Sputters, name her Sputters!  Welcome to our world Ms. Sputters.

We had decided to get a second pug so that Wrinkles would have a friend while we were away at work.  However that didn’t go over to well, Wrinkles was kind of jealous, she had been the one to get all of the attention she didn’t want anyone here sharing that!  We brought her home is February she was so small with a white v on her chest.  One night, just a couple of days after we brought her home, we went out side to go potty, as we walked down the sidewalk by the pool Wrinkles just took her nose and gave Sputters a shove right into the icy cold water, she went right under.  She was on her way back up when I quickly reached in and scooped her up and ran for the towels.  She was so cold the water temperature was around 40 degrees.

She has truly been a blessing to our family.  She has a wonderful personality.  She always alerts me when something is wrong with a sharp bark, like in an emergency when one piece of dog food has fallen behind the food bowl or if the shutters are swaying because of the ceiling fan.  She doesn’t actually point but she does continue to stare in the direction of what she is barking about.  And Sputters is our bird dog, if any bird lands in the backyard she will start a scampering run out the doggie door to chase them off.

We love her so much and it is so great to be celebrating her 8th birthday and we are glad to say she is in remission from lymphoma caner once again.
