Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

This is where I take my kids, Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee, Taz, Dex & Lucky.

Mommy of a four legged kind!

Hooked on dooce! There I was watching Oprah one day last April when I learned of Heather Armstong, a stay at home mom that writes a blog named dooce.  Her story was inspiring, I couldn’t get her out of my thoughts for days, so I decided to check out her blog.  I am now hooked, I’ve got to see what she is up to everyday, it’s not for the mom stuff although it is fascinating, but for the way she tells a story with warmth and humor, well its just flat out makes me feel! And I love that!

Today I had an aha moment after reading part 3 of her labor story.  I had never wanted kids of the two legged type, WHY?  I love kids, always have, always will.  I love watching them learn and grow, I love figuring out what triggers things they say and do.  I love talking about  them(to the point that my husband, will say “ok I’ve had enough Caiden stories today”). So WHY, and there it was staring me in the heart!  I suddenly remembered all of those labor (horror to me) stories the mom’s would tell when I was a kid, I remembered saying to myself “I will never go through that pain”!  And that is how I came to name myself the eternal Aunt Diana.  I guess I have the motherly instincts, it feels like I do, or is it just the kid in me who will always have an excuse to watch cartoons and Disney movies.  Who knows!
