Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

Small World... A "Tail" Of A Trail

On Thursday, December 2, around 1pm, I read the cry for help on Facebook from one of the Foster Mommy’s of Southern Nevada Pug Rescue

MISSING PUG ALERT - Foster at Silver Springs wash - can anyone come help us look for her???

My heart started racing!  I knew the background of this little girl, she and her bonded mate had been owner surrendered only a couple of days before, due to financial hardship.  It had already been an hour!

I thought I knew the area she was talking about but was not sure.  I frantically posted I NEED DIRECTIONS!  I threw on jacket, grab up some bottles of water and headed out the door.  I spoke with the President of SNPR on the way and she confirmed the area I thought it to be.

Pittman Wash Trails.  An area behind Silver Springs Recreation Center where we had attended Pug-O-Rama.  I walked down into the wash and to my amazement I discovered a wonderful place with trails and open spaces , benches to rest on, with signs and markers of the foliage.  I couldn’t believe this little wonderful place, simply breathtaking! See Map of the area.

I felt so alone, I didn’t hear anything that I expected.  I thought I would hear people calling out the name of a dog.  But it was so quiet, so peaceful.  I just kept walking, with my eyes peeled and my ears open for the snort of of curious pug.  I saw so many beautiful animals, they were all nestled in and under the brush.  Or they were just sitting there watching me!  Wild rabbits and birds, it was truly mystical, very quiet except for their rustling.  Sadly I did not spot or hear a pug.

I decided to turn around and go the other way, I ran into another lady walking a dog and learned that she too was also looking for this missing pug.  I felt a sense of relief that I was at least in the right area.  She told me that there had been two sightings in an area lower than where I had been looking.   I went back to my vehicle and drove down to that area.  Again started walking the wash.  No curly tail, no snorting nose.

I went back to my vehicle and started driving through the surrounding neighborhoods.  Then I ran into the Foster Mommy, she was exhausted, she had been walking all day in search of the lost pug.  The Foster Dad had gone home to print up some signs.  By now others were getting off work and had joined in the search.  It was starting to get dark, we were all going to meet back at the Sports Complex.

Now it was dark, none of us had spotted the pug.  We paired up and took different routes to post the signs.  Exhausted and sad, the search ended around 9pm.  The only hope we had is that this sweet little girl had been found and was in someone’s home for the night.  The desert is a cold and scary place, full of rattle snakes and coyotes.

Then a MIRACLE!  Around 10pm, I received the MOST WONDERFUL MESSAGE!  The flyers along with prayers had worked!  She was found!  Southern Nevada Pug Rescue had received a call!!! WOOOOO HOOOOO! YIPPEE!  Doing the HAPPY DANCE!!!

I am always amazed by what a SMALL WORLD it is!  As it turns out… a guy had found her and took her to his neighbors house!  He thought it was one of her dogs that had escaped from her yard!  He put the pug in her yard and then called to tell her.  The lady… just happened to have adopted her pugs from Southern Nevada Pug Rescue. She ran out to her yard to find the pug.

Now here is where the “tail” gets even better!  The lady with the missing pug, had not only adopted her pugs from Southern Nevada Pug Rescue, but she also happened to work at the same place that the  President of Southern Nevada Pug Rescue does!  SMALL WORLD!!!  AMAZING WORLD!!!

And the “tail” gets even better…  this wonderful lady that took care of the lost pug, is ADOPTING her!

Like I ALWAYS SAY!  “Everything Happens For A Reason!”

WHAT A HAPPY ENDING!!!

I Love a Happy Endings!
