Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Valentines Day!

To me Valentines Day is one of those holidays that is just not on the top of my list.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love my hunny with all of my heart, and we do celebrate it with a nice dinner and a few cocktails.  But to me Valentines Day is about new love, be it in the young or the old.

This past week the kids and I got ready for Valentines Day.  We shopped and bought a pack of funny little Valentine cards.  I took pictures of them to frame as gifts for their parents.   We worked long and hard.  The photo shoot itself was exhausting!  There were so many fake smiles and closed eyes I can’t even begin to count them all.

So our plan was to have our Valentines Day party on Friday.  We would invite Granny and Grandpa (my Mom & Dad) to come over for lunch and hand out our Valentine cards.

Friday morning around 6:30am Caiden shows up with a giant smile on his face, yelling surprise, his arms stretching up to me as he was holding a plate of fresh baked cookies and cupcakes, and Valentine cards.   He was so happy and so very proud!

At about 6:45am Riley is knocking on the door so excited she couldn’t even speak with her arms struggling to hold 3 boxes of Valentine chocolates as she pushed them into my arms, one for me, Caiden and herself.

It was at that moment that a giant red warning was going off in my head, shouting OMG I FORGOT TO GET ANYTHING FOR THE KIDS!  What am I going to do!

About that time Caiden said to me “do you have a surprise for me”  I said yes I do, but I can’t remember where I put it (in my mind… yes I do, but it’s still at the store).

Then I remembered Granny and Grandpa were coming over!  WHEW!  So while Grandpa stayed with the kids, my Mom and I went to pick up lunch and ran into Walgreens to pick up some gifts.  Yeah!  The day was saved!

We had a great day, enjoyed our lunch, the company of Granny & Grandpa, ate cupcakes and candy.  No broken hearts here!
