Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

This is where I take my kids, Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee, Taz, Dex & Lucky.

ooh là là! Look What I Discovered!

Viva La Dog Spa!!!  A little bird told me about Viva La Dog Spa, so I tried the Oatmeal Shampoo the other day on my gang and it was C’est très magnifique!  It has a Tropical Fusion Sent, can you say “Aromatherapy”, I loved it!  It is soothing and calming (for all of us)!

Oatmeal Dog Shampoo

And on top of it being a great product, the company is amazing!  I think all of my Pet Parents will like the environmentally-conscious type of company they are!  Just take a look at what they do…

Their Product is Made by Solar Power!

Solar logoWe are all concerned about the planet and the Viva La Dog SPA! wants to do their part to keep our wonderful world alive and well for our children, grandchildren and pets to enjoy for years to come.

  • Their products made in a SOLAR POWERED manufacturing plant.
  • That means No Carbon Footprint in the making of the product.
  • They buy bottles from a local source within 50 miles of their facility. Less footprint.
  • Their website is on the only non-military SOLAR POWERED WEB HOST in the U.S.
  • Their bottles, labels, bands and pumps are RECYCLABLE anywhere on the planet.
  • They also PRE-CYCLE if possible!

What is Pre-cycling?

Pre-cycling is a way to prevent waste from ending up in a landfill. It puts mistakes to good use. There are lots of companies that order packaging parts and then don’t use them for one reason or another. Maybe their product is obsolete and they have lots of never used bottles. Maybe they are overstocked because they (the computer!) ordered too much. Maybe their order was delivered in the wrong size or color. In the past, most of these things have been “written off” by companies and ended up in a dump somewhere. Today we can search websites of companies that put their unused packaging up for sale.

PRE-CYCLING actually helped INSPIRE the look of the Viva La Dog SPA products! We went searching for OVERSTOCK packaging and found these beautiful, translucent pink, fine-mist sprayers! They were the perfect size and color pumps to fit our bottles. The mist dispersal is perfect for the product. Even the dip tube was a good length! Another company had “changed their mind” and decided not to use pink - tens of thousands of them! So, we bought them and saved them from eventually going to a landfill. See how unique they make our products look!

Why should we all care about Pre-cycling?

You’d be surprised how much waste can be saved if we all do our part. If the Viva La Dog SPA! cares and explains what we’re doing maybe it will inspire another company to try. Every little bit helps.

What is great about their products is that you can Create Your own “Viva La Dog Spa” at Home or take Viva La Dog Spa to your groomer!!!

I am going to tell my friends at The Soggy Dog about it and maybe they will start carrying it!  But you can get it at Petco.

Meet Lilly Claire

Lilly Claire is the Viva La Dog Spa! Mascot. She’s original art created for our virtual dog spa website. She has that certain “attitude” that represents fine breeding and exquisite grooming. Of course, she knows all about the special pampering treatments she expects at a World Class Dog Spa.

At the top of their page, she’s followed by her daughter Monique and her current litter of pups: Antoinette, Babette (I had a Poodle named Babette as a child), Collette, Suzette and Yvette. (So of course, her mate Pierre must be around somewhere!) You’ll find her around their website giving you tips on how to pamper your dog like she pampers her pups.
