Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

This is where I take my kids, Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee, Taz, Dex & Lucky.

Dear SNPR Supporters,

Thank you for continuing to support SNPR through hard times.  Many rescues have had to shut their doors, but it is because of all of you that we can keep rescuing pugs.  We’ve seen record numbers of pugs coming into rescue;  this week alone SNPR will take in 8 pugs of all ages and with various health issues. We are sad to see so many pugs lose their homes, but know the community will help us find them their perfect forever home.  However, all these pugs require at minimum shots and getting fixed, and our vet bills have gone up because of the number of surrenders.  Please consider making a donation to SNPR! We are a 501(c)(3) so donations are tax deductible.

Mutts on Main Street This Saturday

Come join SNPR for our first Mutts on Main Street!

Mutts on Main Street is at the  District at Green Valley Ranch from 11 am to 2 pm this Saturday, May 21st.

You can meet some of our many adorable adoptable pugs, so if you are thinking about adding to your family or know someone who is, please stop by and see us.

A Very Special Thank You

SNPR would like to send a BIG THANK YOU to a group of Girl Scouts who decided to help our pugs by raising money for us through a Pennies For Pugs project.  These wonderful girls raised almost $250.00 for our pugs! They also created some adorable containers to collect the change.  To see pictures, please visit our thank you to them on our website: Thank You Girl Scouts.

SNPR UPDATES

We wanted to give you updates on some of our pugs that have touch many hearts.  Cosmo, the little pug who was hurt so badly and needed complicated surgery has been adopted by his foster family.  He fits right in and is an amazingly loving pug.  His new name is Smush, and his recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. He’s even the mascot at his mom’s office-quite a far cry from the pug who was left at the shelter in terrible pain!

Howie was a pug that was adopted out from SNPR a few years ago and then returned to us, through no fault of his own.  He had developed a fear of other dogs, so SNPR had to board him until we found a home for him with no other dogs.  Sometimes timing is everything, because a wonderful woman who had been searching for the right pug agreed to meet Howie.  She met him at our vet’s office and they hit it right off!  Howie hit the jackpot in his new home, and he has been going to training classes to help him overcome his fear of dogs.  He has made great strides, and is a smart little boy.

Dino and Dinah, the two pugs who were rescued from living outside in Utah went to a wonderful foster home who has been helping them learn to be indoor dogs.  They quickly learned to appreciate their new lives! They are both adorable and sweet and quite the characters.  They are still up for adoption and awaiting their own happy ending.  Dino and Dinah can be adopted separately as they have bonded to the other dogs in their foster home and are fine apart.  If you are interested in adopting them, please visit SNPR’s website:

As always, you can keep up to date on all our happenings and share your own pictures on our

Thank you,
