In Loving Memory of Elia Montesino
Tuesday, July 12, 2011
It is with heartfelt sadness that I must let you all know that Elia Montesino passed away on Friday, July 1st, 2011.
My condolences go out to her family & friends…who are all as devastated as I am - at her passing.
We had many good times, shared many laughs & tears. Elia and I were friends for close to 30 years…and she will be missed tremendously.
I would like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to share a thought or story about Elia.
With much love,
Jack Vickers

So many wonderful thoughts and comment have been made, please read below:
Wow, I was very surprised and very sad to hear the news about Elia. She had such a good heart, and was so full of life it is shocking that despite her health issues she was taken at such a young age. All of the people in room res at the old LVH new she was always looking out for them, and she was always trying to learn, grow and become a better manager. I know when she left for Florida it was a scary time for her, but she quickly proved herself and went on to bigger and bigger things. She reached out to me several times to inform me of opportunities out there and that was so kind of her, and she always kept in touch. A very good person has passed and things will be a little less bright for anyone that had the good fortune to call her a coworker, a relative and mostly a friend.

Jack Vickers@JK…Nicely put. I was equally in shock when Elia’s niece contacted me last night to let me know she had passed. You’re right…she was full of life, but it was Lupus that finally took her from us. I will miss her terribly…I looked at …her as a constant in my life - maybe taking her for granted at times/this past year with my own personal challenges/losses. I remember her telling me when she contacted you regarding the opportunities presented to her and she was always appreciative of your input. She had a lot of respect for you and I think you know that. I knew that she loved me…and I just pray that she knew just how much I loved her.See More -

April we all truly loved Elia is was a shock to us to learn of her death. Thank you so much for letting us know. Everybody in case you didn't know April is Elia's niece <3
Your welcome for letting you know about Elia's passing......I did it because I knew how special her friends
were too her......it has been comforting to read all the posts of how loved she was by you all.
My favorite memory of Elia is that soon after she became our supervisor, we had been asked to change our phone greeting that was some package with a funny name and she was going around making sure we were all on board with it. Silly me commented to her that at least it wasn't as bad as working at that Beauty Salon called Hello Gorgeous where the employees are forced to sincerely greet every customer with an enthusiastic "Hello Gorgeous!"
For her entire reign as our supervisor every time I appeared at her office door she would enthusiastically pitch "Hello Gorgeous!" no matter how many times a day I would approach her she always greeted me that way. It was very sweet and endearing like her.
Oh Danny, What a wonderful memory of Elia... XOXO Miss you so much!

I hope that Nancy her best friend or April, Nancy's daughter will see this post and contact me.......Elia R.I.P you will be missed.
