Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

This is where I take my kids, Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee, Taz, Dex & Lucky.

As far as I am concerned there is nobody better than Dr. Varela and his staff!

Pet Emergency Safety

No matter what type of emergency may or may not come your way, we as Pet Owners need to have an emergency plan in order.  Maybe you have everything put together for you and your family, but have you thought about your pets?  Most of us would say no.

We watched the effects of what happened to the pets after Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and most recently the tornado in Joplin .  Pet owners need to have a plan, we need to have immunization/health records and emergency vet contact information printed and ready.  What is there is no power and powered electronics are unavailable during and after a storm.  An extra supply of your pets food, water and medicine should be available.

There really are so many things to think about and I think it’s best to have everything prepared in advance.  I found a fantastic website called Wag’N they offer a lot a great solutions to help you become prepared.

Wag’N not only has information and products for a disaster, but they also have items for on home emergencies and vehicle accidents!

Here are some of the tips they suggest to have available in the event of an emergency.  They recommend keeping them in a resealable bag:

1.      Pet’s veterinarian information

2.      Emergency animal hospital

3.      National poison control (800.222.1222)

4.      Paper maps of your neighborhood, town, county as well

         as regional maps.

5.      Veterinary and immunization records

6.      Pictures of owner(s) with pet(s) for proof of ownership
