27 To Young To Die :(

Yesterday, I learned of the death of Amy Winehouse.   I had a huge sorrowful *sigh*

Sadly, I was not surprised.  In my heart all along I had really hoped that one day she would get off of the crap that led to her death.  So deeply saddened. 

Her song haunted me all day long “They Want Me to Go To Rehab, And I Say “NO, NO, NO!”

It reminded me of Janis Joplin, one of my all time teenage favorites, whom also died at the age of 27.  

 And then I thought of Jimmy Hendrix, also dead at 27.

Then later that day I learned of the “27 Club”.  So many artist are members of this club.  Artist from my childhood and from today, that had also lost their lives at the age of 27.  Sadly to the drugs and life style that they had become addicted to.  So much talent.  I thought about their families and how hard this must have been on them. 

It laid heavy on my heart all day, what a shame, what a waste, what a loss.
