I Got Bones In There
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 Caiden, my 3 year old great nephew comes to my house almost every week day while his Mom and Dad are at work. As you can imagine he has a tremendous amount of energy.
I am constantly asking him to please stop jumping on the couch. It’s a never ending battle, he usually stops for about 10 minutes. So one day I say (just like my Mom would say) “Caiden, if you don’t stop jumping off the couch your going to break your leg”.
He was quick to respond, pointing to his leg he said “I got bones in there”! Now I can’t stop laughing and say “I know, that’s what’s going to break”. He says “no because I am strong” flexing his arm muscles. So I go on to explain how he will have to wear a cast, that it will be itchy inside and he won’t be able to go swimming anymore this summer.
Get Off The CouchThen it comes to me!
“Do you want to see what a cast looks like”? And once again the internet comes through for me …. You Tube video. He was shocked, “let’s watch it again”, then shaking his head he said “I can’t watch this anymore”.
Yes, he still jumps on the couch, but at least knows what a broken leg is.
