Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

This is where I take my kids, Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee, Taz, Dex & Lucky.

No Barking!

This really works!  Wrinkles and Sputters (my girls) have a really bad habit of barking like the world is coming to the end whenever someone rings the door bell.  And if someone enters the house, forget about it!  Wrinkles will continue to bark, while backing up until she makes herself hoarse.  Sputters on the other hand talks at you in a long howl because it’s very important that you should talk to her!  Anyway, it makes it really hard to carry on any type of conversation.

Then one day I remembered hearing of a training tip for dogs or cats.  Fill a squirt bottle with water, set it to a straight stream of water.  Whenever your pet is doing something that you don’t want them to do just give them a squirt.

I did this with Wrinkles and Sputters and in a matter of days the barking at the door had stopped!  All I have to say to them now is “I’m going to get the bottle” and they back off.  Oh yes I do talk to them just like they are humans, and yes they understand every word.

If you have a cat that scratches your furniture, give em a squirt.  It’s best to not let the cat know where the water is coming from, once they see that it’s you with that water bottle they are smart enough not to scratch when your around.

Please don’t reuse any bottle that has had chemicals in it, I don’t care how many times you rinsed it out.  I got this empty bottle at Home Depot, it’s big and squirts far.
