Welcome to...

I started this blog to talk about my girls, two pugs, Wrinkles & Sputters, our kids!  We got them as puppies and they are 10 years old now!

Since starting my blog we now have adopted four little boy pugs, Mugzee, adopted in October 2009, Taz in May 2010, Dex October 2010 and Lucky the latest addition to our family, adopted November 2010.  So if you catch me talking about the girls and boys, or my kids, you’ll know who I mean.

I’m a stay at home Mommy to Wrinkles, Sputters, Mugzee,Taz, Dex & Lucky.  In May of 2010, I became a Foster Mommy for Southern Nevada Pug Rescue.  On a daily basis I may have 7 pugs and my great nephew Caiden who is 5 when he is not in school.

I thought this would be a great place for you to hear about our adventures with pugs. To spread the word about rescue and just have some fun.  Anyway… I have so much I want to share with you about the things in my life that I love… Pugs, Kids, Fishy’s, Eating, Drinking, Decorating, Travel and just plain living life to the fullest!

I hope while your here you can find something to wag your tail about!

Our Crazy 6 Ring Circus!

Van a SNPR Alumni, one of our past fosters, so happy for him!

Yesterday we took our whole gang, yap, all 6 of our pugs to Barkin’ Basin Dog Park.  A great dog park located in the west part of Las Vegas.  We were on our way to “St. Pugstrick’s Day”, a meet up put on by Southern Nevada Pug Rescue, my favorite rescue organization. ;-)

It was the first time we had decided to take all 6!  Yes, I knew it would be a challenge, but I wanted to do it.  My gang had cabin fever bad and they all needed to get out of the house.  The seventh element… we added my 5 year old great nephew Caiden.

Ok so this is how it went for us!  The event started at 12 noon, I wasn’t ready until 12:30pm, by the time we got the vehicle packed up and everyone in it, well it was probably 1:00pm.  It was approximately a 25-30 minute drive.  After a brief argument between me and the hubby (totally stress related) and we are finally on the road.

Ten minutes into the drive and Caiden tells me he has to go to the bathroom.  Me “Why didn’t you go before we left the house”?  Caiden ” I didn’t have to go then”.  Me “Can you hold it”?  “It’s going to be a long drive”.  Caiden “Yes”.  Then the moaning begins…  Ok you get the picture, we stop.  Mission accomplished were on our way again.  Now we run into what I am going to lable as spring fever traffic!  I’m not kidding the entire city was on the road.  Caiden told us if they have a dog in their car they are going to the same place we are!  LOL!

Gizmo looks just like I felt!

So we finally arrive, it’s about 2:30pm.  We get out of the car, I am putting every dog on their leash and setting them on the ground one at a time… Caiden gets out of the car.  I think he is standing by me, but no, he spots a play ground, maybe 20 feet from the car at takes off running… my husbands yells and him to stop and come back.  Now Caiden is crying, he is embarrassed that his Uncle Young is yelling at him, so I calm him down and explain that we are not going there but to the dog park.

Finally we start to walk, I have 5 dogs, and Young has the other, just because their leashes are now tangled together and believe it or not, it was just easier.  Caiden is doing what any 5 year old would do and I am trying to keep the dogs from going behind me, wrapping my legs in their leashes and basically pulling me down to the ground!

As were walking in, a lot of people are on their way out, well of course the event ends at 3pm, DUH!!!  We were bumming,  but still glad that we brought all of our gang.  They were so excited!  We get inside the gates and let them off their leashes.  Caiden found a sand box and entertained himself the entire time building “castles” which really looked like pyramid shaped piles of sand, but I was so happy he was having a great time.

The weather was FANTASTIC! The dogs were ecstatic, Caiden was in dirt heaven, we ALL relaxed and had a great time! Everybody was so pooped on the way home they fell fast asleep.

You knew the dogs were worn out the rest of the day because later I was making their diner and NO ONE CAME INTO THE KITCHEN, well until they heard the spoon dishing it up, then they were all there in FULL FORM!  Needless to say, after eating they were all sacked out again, and we were right behind them.  WHAT A GREAT DAY!

This is the wondeful man that adopted Puggy, another one of our fosters!

We are so very proud to be Foster Parents for such a great organization!  The wonderful ladies at Southern Nevada Pug Rescue have always, and will always, go above and beyond the call of duty to rescue pugs and place them in good homes.  It’s just what they do and we are so grateful!

P.S.  I did take my camera but never took a single picture, I just wanted to relax.  These photo’s are from the album of Southern Nevada Pug Rescue on Facebook.
